:A: Well, could you point me some curious humans?
: A: Are they hiding? All I see is submissive humans...
//old Question /But I don't blame you, nihilism is a necessary step before understanding what we are really doing here.
:A: Which happens to be...?
///Re: what are we really doing here?
You just need to accept an "helicopter move" by your "helicopter" brain.
Change for an higher level.
Forget the XIXth/XXth/XXIst centuries.
Submissive human molecules bags could appear as enduring entities, intelligently participating with self control to matter complexification.
How could we contribute more ourselves to this complexification?
How could we help these "submissive or enduring" molecules bags so that their contributions bring more value and speed to the complexification process?
Stimulate anger and wrath, both real and simulated ones?
Stimulate fear among bags which seem to enjoy advantageous positions?
Find a more cheaper way to communicate civilization to new molecules bags so that each civilized bag can easily inoculate civilization to several other bags instead of destroying them in its own civilization process?
this third solution supposes that some bags can define and materialize a true civilized life which can also be transmitted and disseminated with much less work and efforts and safely protected from greed of bad bags.
we are looking for the equivalent of the thermal regulation invented by hiding mammals to escape predatory dinosaurus and doomsday nights.
